SUMMARY
My work is recognizable for its excellence in composition, clean lines and attention to detail. I am an award-winning art director and graphic designer with experience in print design, illustration and fine art painting.

In my latest position as Associate Art Director, I designed and art directed projects and campaigns for a number of B2B and Conference clients in a variety of industries, including: avionics, cable, satellite, defense and public relations.

I am the son of Russian and Peruvian immigrants. I was raised and now live in the Washington, D.C. area. I received a BFA degree in Visual Communication from the prestigious Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.

EXPERIENCE
06/03 to 01/08 Access Intelligence, LLC (Formerly PBI Media)
Associate Art Director
  • Serve as a guide, problem-solver, mentor and facilitator for the production department’s graphic designers (two on-site and one in our New York City office). Work closely with the marketers to brainstorm and formulate ideas that carry the message of our various brands to our consumers.
  • Concept, create and design for a diverse range of clients. Juggle multiple projects at a time. Assist Director of Marketing Production with best paper choice for certain printed materials. Work with editors using SoftCare’s K4 editing system, reducing time and cost of our production schedule.
  • Work directly with printers and vendors to gain the best product available for our brands.
  • Create variety of Web based advertisement, both animated and still, using Adobe Image Ready.

  • Oversaw the art department and managed the production staff
  • Communicated with clients, vendors, paper mills and printers in order to achieve the best results for our clients
  • Made typographic and production edits to Quark files, including brochures, flyers and various direct mail pieces

  • Worked closely with Account Managers in order to effectively accomplish client wishes within budget while maintaining quality design work
